Project Overview
Commissioned by KFC India, this limited-edition bucket packaging celebrates the brand's 600-restaurant milestone by rooting the design in the hyper-local identity of specific Indian cities. Rather than a generic commemorative approach, each bucket becomes a cultural portrait of a place.
The design system is built on an illustrative collage aesthetic featuring hand-drawn line illustrations layered with bold geometric colour blocks, close-cropped typography, and vibrant shapes. The bilingual lettering, combining regional script with English, captures each city's local lingo, while the illustrations document its architecture, people, and traditions. Every element speaks directly to the city it represents.
The packaging becomes as culturally rich as the cities that inspired it, vivid, textured, and deeply specific.
